By order of the captain of the Korsakov seaport, navigation at Port Moskalvo, the northernmost port of Sakhalin Island, was opened on June 9, 2024.
Previously, a commission inspection of the shore infrastructure was conducted at the port, confirming its readiness for navigation.
Port Moskalvo is a freezing port with seasonal navigation. The navigation season here is active from mid-June to October 30, depending on favorable ice conditions. The port can accommodate vessels up to 180 meters in length and with a draft of up to 6 meters.
